A Production with Venice Ball League

Founded in 2006 on the iconic outdoor courts of Venice Beach, Venice Ball League (VBL) started as a grassroots community tournament and has grown into one of the most recognizable summer basketball leagues in the world. NBA pros, streetball legends, and global icons have all pulled up to watch and play.

But VBL is bigger than basketball. It’s a movement – building courts across the world, hosting premier events, and launching initiatives that give back to the communities that raised them.

The Documentary

We’re excited to share a short documentary we co-produced with Venice Ball League, centered around their 2025 invitation to The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a nationwide, open-format competition with a million-dollar prize on the line. For many players, this tournament meant more than just basketball…It was a chance to change everything. This documentary follows the VBL team as they train, travel, and take their shot on a national stage.

VBL’s coaching staff assembled twelve standout players and headed to Louisville, Kentucky, where they competed at the legendary Freedom Hall. But the trip wasn’t just about basketball. The team spent time connecting with the local community – playing pick-up games at neighborhood parks, giving away free meals, and soaking up the deep cultural roots of the city. The documentary captures the heart and hustle that defines Venice Ball, and why this league matters far beyond the scoreboard.

Timeless × Venice Ball League

We’ve always believed in showing up for the communities that move culture forward. That’s why we’re proud to say that we have our own team in the Venice Ball League. It’s more than just competition. It’s about being part of something that brings people together, that celebrates individuality, and that pushes the game and community to new heights.
