Whenever spring rolls around here at Timeless, everyone at our office starts to buzz about Jessica and Joyce over at Ruze. This is the second year in a row that we’ve been able to work with these amazing women we are honored to share a community with. This year, Jessica dreamed up our collab concept for Strawberry Shortcake in the form of a to-die-for macaron accented with edible metallic gold pigment. $1 from every two-pack of macarons sold at their storefront goes to Sojourner Women’s Shelter, and Jessica and Joyce decided to match Timeless’ donation. The limited-edition Strawberry Shortcake macarons will be available until 3/31/22 at Ruze Cake House in Scottsdale.

[From our 2021 article] Named Best Bakery by Phoenix New Times, Ruze Cake House is a Scottsdale Arts District staple offering macarons, boba teas, seasonal gifts, and a variety of other picturesque confections. Nestled under the string lights of Main Street, the bakery storefront is a cozy, Instagram-ready hangout boasting candy-colored sweet treats, lush, green plants, and natural lighting. Ruze is the home of mother-daughter duo, and co-owners, Jessica and Joyce Boutwell who partnered to open the bakery in 2016. After a tumultuous and unprecedented year, we discussed belonging to an artistic community, the obstacles faced by women in business, and what’s in store for Ruze Cakehouse in the future (hint: edibles!)
